WINTER BEAUTY TIPS
/Crisp, cold weather and snow create a magical Winter Wonderland. But those extreme elements can wreak havoc on our skin and hair.
So we asked The O Report publisher Olivia Fortson to share her top beauty tips for weathering the winter season.
Water with lemon. "I start my day off by drinking two large (16 ounces each) glasses of water with the juice of a quarter of a lemon squeezed in. I immediately feel rehydrated and refreshed. The rest of the day I drink plain water and hot tea to keep the hydration going."
Evian Brumisateur® Mineral Water Spray. "The lack of humidity in the air this time of year leaves my skin feeling parched. So I carry around a 1.7 ounce travel size of this powerful micro-droplet mist that I spray on my face whenever my skin needs instant hydration." $21 for a pack of 3.
L'Oreal Paris Facial Age Perfect Cell Renewal Facial Oil. "This is designed to be used on your face and neck, but I use it as an amazing treat for my hands. I'm a bit of an obsessive hand-washer, so my hands can look red and cracked in cold weather. At night, and sometimes several times throughout the day, I rub 4 or 5 drops into my hands. It absorbs quickly and you can see, and feel, the nourishing results immediately." $24.99 for one ounce.
A.N.D. Mango Lip Balm. "I just discovered A.N.D. (A Natural Difference), a natural skincare line that originated in Germany and is now sold in the U.S. The lip balm is the best I've ever used. It keeps my lips plump with moisture. I find it at Apothic Spa on East Boulevard. I'm so impressed I can't wait to try A.N.D.'s other skincare products."
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) Night Cap Overnight Perfector. "This weightless product is formulated to be a conditioner that you leave-in your hair at night to make it more manageable and vibrant. But during the day. I pump out a small drop, rub it between my palms and smooth over my hair to keep it looking shiny and healthy in dry weather." $29 for 4 ounces.
